Where can I find a house painter in Lake Arrowhead or the mountain communities?
Rainbow Painting works throughout the San Bernardino Mountains, including Lake Arrowhead, Crestline, Blue Jay, Twin Peaks, Cedar Glen, Skyforest, Rimforest, Running Springs, Arrowbear Lake, Green Valley Lake, Angelus Oaks and Forest Falls. Mountain homes are a large share of the work. Call Cesar Perez at (909) 659-9623.
Do you paint houses in Yucaipa, Redlands and the Inland Empire?
Yes. Rainbow Painting is based in Yucaipa, so the Inland Empire is the closest work there is: Yucaipa, Oak Glen, Mentone, Redlands, Loma Linda, Highland, San Bernardino, Colton, Grand Terrace, Bloomington, Rialto, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Ontario, Montclair, Chino and Chino Hills. Just over the county line, Calimesa, Cherry Valley, Beaumont and Banning are all within about twenty minutes.
Do you paint houses in Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley?
Yes. Yucaipa sits at the top of the pass, so the desert is about 45 minutes of freeway: Desert Hot Springs, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Thousand Palms, Rancho Mirage and Palm Desert. Desert exteriors fail from heat and UV rather than snow, and they get prepped for that.
How far do you travel for a job?
About an hour's drive from Yucaipa, which reaches four directions: the Inland Empire out to Ontario and Chino Hills, up the mountain to Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear's doorstep, south and west through Beaumont and Banning to Riverside, Moreno Valley, Corona, Hemet and Lake Elsinore, and down the pass to Palm Springs and Palm Desert. The desert is freeway the whole way, so it is a shorter trip than the mountains. If you are near the edge of that, call and ask.
Are you a licensed painting contractor?
Yes. Rainbow Painting holds California contractor license #935911, classification C-33 Painting and Decorating, and it is current. Cesar has 15+ years in the trade. You can check the license yourself at cslb.ca.gov.
Are estimates free, and how do I get one?
Estimates are free. Call (909) 659-9623 or email rainbow.painting92325@gmail.com with what you want painted, roughly how big it is, and what city the house is in. Appointments are usually booked within the same week you ask.
How soon can you start, and what days do you work?
Cesar works Monday through Friday, plus some Saturdays when a project needs it. Estimate appointments generally happen the same week you ask for one. Once you approve the quote, work typically starts one to three weeks later.
Can you paint through the winter in the mountains?
Interior painting runs all year, and winter is a good time for it. Exterior painting in the mountains depends on the weather: Cesar paints outside when it is above roughly 50°F and conditions allow, which happens on plenty of winter days up there. If you are not sure whether your job can go ahead, call and he will tell you straight.
Do you do roofing as well as painting?
Painting is what Rainbow Painting is licensed for: California C-33, license #935911. Roofing falls under a different license class, so Cesar does not do roofing himself. He does work regularly with a licensed roofing contractor, so if your roof needs repairs, a tune-up or a full re-roof, mention it when he comes out for the paint estimate and he will bring the roofer in and coordinate the two jobs around each other. The roofing work is contracted with the licensed roofer.
What kinds of painting work do you take on?
Interior and exterior painting, staining and finishing, new construction, and full repaints. Walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinets, siding, stucco, decks, railings and fences.
Do you paint stucco?
Yes. Stucco, siding and trim are all part of the exterior work, along with the wash, scrape and prime that goes on before the coat does.
Do you paint kitchen cabinets, decks and fences, or only whole houses?
Single-room and single-surface jobs are welcome. Cabinets, a deck, a fence, a front door, one accent wall. There is no minimum you have to hit before it is worth a call.
Who actually does the work, you or a crew?
Cesar does the painting himself. He is the person who comes out to quote the job, the person on the ladder, and the person who answers the phone if something is wrong afterwards. There is no crew to hand you off to. Roofing is the one exception, and that goes to the licensed roofing contractor he works with.
How much does it cost?
Every job is priced on what it actually needs, so there is no list price to quote here. The estimate is free and Cesar prices it himself, after looking at the actual house.
